About

My philosophy on work

My work is to amplify excellence.

Employees prefer to work autonomously. How people work contributes more to their happiness than salary. The very framework that employees thrive within, is not present in most organisations. This makes no sense to me.

Everyone wants to be trusted to get the details right, and deliver outcomes they can be proud of. This requires clear strategy, and world class policy, processes, procedures and systems to guide their decisions. Without these core foundations, it's difficult to build with confidence and peace of mind.

About me

I have helped operate 12 different family businesses. Autonomy is born of trust and trust is inherent in family businesses.

Since my first experience as an employee I've been thinking deeply about why the leader / employee dynamic is often so ineffectual, regardless of how well intentioned both parties may be. I've come to understand the operational foundations are as important as the product or service. My commitment to clients is implementing these foundations quickly and providing ongoing support to keep them in place.
